Weekly Block Diwas was today held at Bhalla block of District Doda to redress the grievances of people. A large number of locals and PRIs participated in the Block Diwas to project their demands and issues of public importance before the officers of different departments.
The PRI members raised issues of public importance and demanded their early redressal.The event was chaired by ADC Bhaderwah Chowdhary Dilmir, who listened to the participants. The government officers also provided various services and resolved many issues on the spot pertaining to their respective departments.
PRI members and Local participants projected various demands before ADC , who assured them of early redressal.The program was attended by Tehsildar Bhalla, BDO Bhalla, ExEn I&FC, AEE Jal Shakti, AEE R&B and representatives of various other departments viz Forest, Floriculture, Horticulture, Agriculture, RDD, Fisheries , Revenue and others were present.
The PRI members and locals demanded new road links and blacktopping of all existing roads in Bhalla block. The demand of drinking water supply to every village and electrification of all villages was also projected by the locals and PRI members.
Registration of forest land to the occupants under Forest Rights Act was also demanded by the concerned participants.
