Principal Government Degree College Kathua Prof. Seema Mir today felicitated Ashutosh, the winner of bronze medal under 74 KG Weight Category.He has bagged this medal for the college in the All India University National Kickboxing Championship held at Veer Bahadur Singh Purvanchal University Jaunpur, Uttar Pradesh.
This championship was organized from 14-03-2023 to 17-03-2023 by the Sports Council of Uttar Pradesh. The felicitation ceremony was organized by the Department of Physical Education GDC Kathua today in the chamber of the Principal.
Principal Prof. Seema Mir was accompanied by the senior faculty members of the college Prof. Anirudh Sharma, Dr. Shivani Kotwal, Dr Kailash Sharma HOD Mathematics, Dr Sumit Dubey, Member college Sports Board, Dr. J S Soodan Physical Director GDC Kathua and Dr Kamaldeep Singh HOD Punjabi.
Greeting the winner of the Bronze medal, the Principal Prof. Seema Mir praised him for fetching this prestigious medal for the college at All India Inter University Level. She also appreciated the Sports Department for keeping the winning morale of the College at the National level.
The Principal also congratulated Dr J S Soodan Physical Director for creating a Sports Culture in the college by encouraging participation of a larger number of students in sports activities in the college.
She also spoke to the Director Sports Dr Daud Iqbal Bawa and congratulated him for this assiduous accomplishment by the Sports Persons of GDC Kathua, while representing University of Jammu al All India Inter University Level.
It is pertinent to mention that these Players have been trained hard at GDC Kathua. Their marvelous achievements are highly appreciated by the college sports board and senior Faculty members.
