DDC Vice Chairperson Udhampur calls for curbing delays in execution of sanctioned projects

District Development Council Vice Chairperson Udhampur, Juhi Pathania today called upon line departments to ensure speedy execution of sanctioned projects.She was chairing a meeting here in her office to review the progress of work on different under execution projects.

With regard to Girls Hostel Chowki, the DDC Vice Chairperson asked the officials from the departments of PWD, Samagra Shiksha, Revenue and Education Department to take effective steps to start the project.At the first instance, she called upon the Revenue department to identify a suitable place, preferably in the immediate flanks of GHSS Chowki Jandrore. 

She asked PWD to frame DPRs within the stipulated financial limit and immediately start the work for the 100 bedded girls hostel so that the hostel could be made available to the girls of the area which shall not only spur up girls’ education but it shall add new flavour to the overall spectrum of School Education in that respective area.

Meanwhile a deputation from DDC Latti called for redressing the shortage of staff at HS Panchound and other institutions of Latti, Dudu areas regarding which spot instructions were issued to Chief Education Officer to take care of the said issue. 

The delegations had detailed discussions with the Vice Chairperson regarding the key developmental issues pertaining to their areas.The Vice Chairperson DDC Udhampur issued directions to the concerned officers to speed up macadamisation of roads and construction of drainage and protection works wherever necessary. 

Several grievances were raised by a swarm of deputations to which the Vice Chairperson gave a patient hearing.She assured visiting deputations to religiously follow their sporadic demands and issues.
