A meeting was held today by the District Development Council Udhampur to discuss and finalise their Annual Plan for 2023-24. The meeting was chaired by Chairman District Development Council Udhampur, Lal Chand. 

The discussions included various aspects of the Area Development Plan, including rural connectivity and infrastructure, water conservation, agriculture, power, health and education.

The meeting was attended by Chairpersons of the Block Development Councils and members of District Development Councils. During the meeting, a proposal was made for an Area Development Plan consisting of 2226 works with an estimated cost of Rs 69.23 crore. 

This includes 1691 PRI works, 175 BDC works and 360 DDC works. Other attendees included Vice Chairperson DDC, Juhi Manhas Pathania; Deputy Commissioner of Udhampur, Krittika Jyotsna; Additional District Development Commissioner, Ghan Sham Singh; Chief Planning Officer, Mudassir Yaqoob Zargar; ACD, Dr Ranjeet Kotwal and other senior district officers from various departments. 

All participants unanimously approved the Annual Plan for the district. The Council also complimented and appreciated the district administration for achieving all of their physical and financial targets set for the year 2022-23.
