With the detention of more than eight of Waris Punjab De chief Amritpal Singh's accomplices, a fresh development in the case has garnered media attention.Punjab police have transferred four associates of Amritpal Singh to Dibrugarh In Assam. According to sources, associates were flown to Assam on a chartered plane. It is expected that after imposing NSA, associates were transferred to other state.

The Search for Amritpal Singh is still going on and Punjab police will soon make updates regarding the same. Punjab Police are planning to book Amritpal Singh under the provisions of the National Security Act (NSA), according to sources.

Section 144 has been imposed in many districts of the state. The police have also increased security in the state. In addition, all vehicles are being checked at the Punjab-Haryana border.
