Cabinet Minister Advocate Barinder Goyal today felicitated Arnav Jindal, a brilliant student from Lehragaga, for his exceptional performance in the NEET-2026 examination. Arnav secured All India Rank (AIR) 50, third position in Punjab, and first position in Sangrur district, earning recognition for himself while bringing immense pride to the entire region.
He was honoured in the presence of the Minister's wife Seema Goyal, Chairperson, Municipal Council Lehragaga, Kanta Goyal, and members of Arnav's family. Extending his congratulations, the Minister wished the young achiever continued success in his future academic and professional pursuits.
Speaking on the occasion, Cabinet Minister Barinder Goyal described Arnav's achievement as a proud moment for the entire Lehragaga Assembly constituency and Sangrur district. He said that securing AIR 50 among nearly 2.3 million candidates across the country is an extraordinary feat that has brought laurels to Punjab and inspired countless aspiring students.
He added that Arnav's success is a testament to the fact that hard work, discipline and unwavering determination invariably lead to excellence. The Cabinet Minister said that the remarkable performance of students is also a reflection of the transformative reforms being implemented in the education sector by the Punjab Government under the leadership of Chief Minister Bhagwant Singh Mann.
He noted that more than 850 students from government schools have qualified the NEET examination this year, underlining the significant improvement in the quality of public education across the State. Highlighting the government's development agenda, Barinder Goyal said that the Punjab Government is committed to the holistic development of every region.
He said sustained efforts are being made to ensure canal water reaches every agricultural field, schools are being equipped with modern educational infrastructure, village stadiums are being developed to encourage sports among the youth, and modern libraries are being established to cultivate reading habits among children.
He further said that special outreach camps and awareness drives are being conducted to ensure the benefits of government welfare schemes reach every eligible citizen in a transparent and timely manner. He added that the Aam Aadmi Party would contest the 2027 Punjab Assembly elections on the agenda of development, good governance and public welfare.
