DC Doda reviews arrangements for Ramadan, Navratra, Ramnavmi & Eid ul Fitr

Deputy Commissioner Doda, Vishesh Mahajan along with SSP Doda Abdul Qayoom, convened a meeting of all the stakeholders to review the arrangements for Ramadan, Navratra, Ramnavmi & Eid-ul-Fitr today in the Conference hall of DC office complex Doda here.

The meeting was attended by functionaries of service providing departments including Power Development Department, Food, Civil Supplies and Consumer Affairs, Municipal Committee, Sheep Husbandry, Poultry, Legal Metrology, and Police. 

Besides, President Beopar Mandal and Mutton and Chicken Seller Association also participated in the meeting. The DC asked the concerned to ensure availability of all requisite and essential commodities, especially eatable items, Vegetables and milk on approved rates during the Holy Month of Ramadan, Navratras, Ramnavmi, and other religious festivities.

Ensuring availability of electricity, and water supply during the festivities, directions have been passed to maintain the regular supply especially during morning and evening hours. 

AEEs of Jal Shakti department and JPDCL have been made nodal officers to ensure the supply of water and electricity, besides, first contact persons for the public in case of unscheduled disruption of the supply.

He also directed the Ex En PHE Doda to ensure regular water supply to the slaughter house either through pipeline or through water tanker facility. He directed the officers of all departments to work in a synergized manner to avoid inconvenience to the people. 

EOs of all the MCs and BDOs shall maintain cleanliness in the district. He further instructed EOs of MCs to ensure cleanliness in the Municipal area on a daily basis and with special focus on religious places.

Religious heads have been asked not to give Public Address System in the hands of irresponsible persons, to avoid nuisance and inconvenience during the Holy days.

The DC constituted checking squads for all the three MCs comprising officials of enforcement departments to ensure adequate supply of the essential items in the market on the approved rates of the government, besides to check adulteration of the food commodities.

The DC directed the AD Civil supplies to ensure availability of sufficient ration and LPG stock in the district.
