The District Legal Services Authority (DLSA) Bandipora on Monday organised an awareness programme at Al-Munawar Education Nest (AMEN) Ajas Bandipora to celebrate World Social Justice Day.

Secretary DLSA, Nusrat Ali Hakak said the programme was held under the chairmanship of Principal District and Sessions Judge Amit Sharma as per action Plan 2023.

Para Legal Volunteer of DLSA Bandipora Pervaiz Ahmad Bhat delivered a speech on the said topic. He said that the main objective of this day is to address social injustice and collectively work towards eliminating poverty, illiteracy, physical, gender, and religious discrimination to build a just and socially integrated society.

Bhat further highlighted the efforts needed to be taken on an individual level to tackle issues such as poverty, exclusion, gender equality, unemployment, human rights, and social protections and to promote the development and human dignity.

The programme was attended by, PLVs, staff members of the said institutions, students and other officials.
