Vice Chairperson, District Development Council, Udhampur Juhi Pathania today made a fervent call for expediting Jal Jeevan Mission schemes in district Udhampur.  

She was interacting with PRIs in her office as well as during on-spot tours of various villages- Chanunta, Dhalpar, Barta, Round Dmail of District Udhampur. 

“Although work on number of JJM projects is already underway in the District but pace is required to be accelerated with a view to ensuring the government’s resolve of ‘Har Ghar Jal’ to be fulfilled within stipulated time,” she said and added that Moreso, JJM projects with an estimated cost exceeding Rs 10 crore are still pending allotments at the secretariat level.

She called upon the LG to intervene to ensure immediate allotment of these projects and starting of work thereupon. The Delegation led by Pinki Devi, DDC Latti -Marothi and Pawan Kumar, Naib Sarpanch Panchayat Latti -B called for a road from Pattangarh to Chappar (5Kms). 

They also demanded forest clearance for the road from Dudu to Seoj Dhar (36Kms). They also projected their demand for starting work on roads from Kokani to Panchoud, Jakhed to Upper Jakhed,Saroto to Chounthal, Latti to Latha and Teda to Draman via Sithla Pyt. Latti -B.

Another deputation led by Hansraj, Chairman Vasukhi Nag -Kailash Kund yatra Committee called upon Mrs Pathania and put forward their demand for tendering of projects which includes Construction of Sheds and tile work at Shivgali. 

They also demanded taking up work of construction of a guest house at Dudu and construction of shed at Seoj Dhar whose DPRs have been framed.Mrs Pathania after calling the concerned departments ensured all the deputations of favourable orders at the earliest.

During her visit to Barta, she called for regularisation of the GHSS Barta which is still a hanging school with no provision for posts and requisite infrastructure. 

A spirited deputation of women also met the Vice chairperson and demanded a strict check on bootlegging and consumption of liquor in and around the school premises of GHSS Barta. 

This causes disturbance to students and their parents. She was accompanied by Santosh Devi ,Sarpanch  Pyt. Serballa, Lila, Sarpanch  Barta, Sonu Bhagat Sarpanch Chanunta, Kehar Singh, Rattan, Savitri Devi, Vakil Singh.

While chairing a meeting with the Chief Agriculture Officer Udhampur, Mrs Pathania called for immediate completion of works, target oriented works working towards the Government resolve of doubling the income of farmers.

While having a spot appraisal of ongoing works with ADDC Udhampur, she called for expediting the works under sanctioned Capex, FC, MGNREGA plans. She further called for identifying the black spots for installing mobile towers.
