District Judiciary Srinagar celebrated the 74th Republic Day within the premises of District Court Complex (DCC), Moominabad, here today. On this occasion, Jawad Ahmed, Principal District and Sessions Judge, Srinagar, unfurled the National Flag and took the salute.
The function was attended by all the Judges posted at Srinagar, Prosecution Officers, Bank Officials, Treasury officials, Staff members, Advocates, Health officials and PLVs.
The Principal District Judge greeted the participants and the gathering on the 74th Republic Day and threw light on the importance of the day which honours the entry into force of the Indian Constitution, which had earlier displaced the Government of India Act of 1935.
He emphasized that every citizen should strive towards development of the Nation. Later on sweets were distributed amongst the squad from Police on the occasion.
Jawad Ahmad congratulated everyone present. He thanked all the participants including police personnel who had made arrangements for the day.
