To finalize the arrangements for the celebration of Republic Day-2023, a meeting of Officers was held at mini-secretariat here under the chairpersonship of Deputy Commissioner (DC) Reasi, Babila Rakwal.

During the meeting, the DC reviewed arrangements to be made by different departments including security, seating, car parking, transportation, illumination of buildings, refreshments, road clearance etc.

The DC Reasi exhorted all the departments to put in place elaborate arrangements for smooth conduct of the National event. It was finalized that the main function will be held at Zorawar Singh Sports Stadium, where the National Flag will be unfurled by the chief guest followed by the parade comprising contingents of JKP, CRPF, NCC and collages/school children.

The celebrations of the national day event will start with the playing of ‘Shehnai Vadan’ at Zorawar Singh Sports Stadium by District Information Centre Reasi. A detailed discussion was also held on seating arrangements, barricading, security, traffic regulation, drinking water and power supply, sanitation, first-aid, PAS, fire-tenders, among others. 

The DC directed the concerned Executive Engineers to ensure adequate arrangements of barricading, seating and drinking water supply besides uninterrupted power supply on the day of function. ADDC, ADC, CPO, ACR, ACD, CEO and other concerned officers attend the meeting.
