The Additional Deputy Commissioner (ADC) Ganderbal, Mehraj-ud-din Shah today convened a meeting of all core committees constituted to overlook the arrangement for the celebration of Republic Day 2023 in the district.

The meeting held threadbare discussions on various arrangements to be put in place at the venue for the main function, including preparation and consolidation of the venue ground, podium, march past and cultural programs, security, seating, transportation, barricading, parking, electricity, refreshment, medicare, deployment of fire tenders, media management and sanitation measures. 

During the meeting, the ADC enquired about the arrangement being made and all committees briefed him regarding the status of arrangements pertaining to them. 

Highlighting the importance of the auspicious day, ADC emphasized that being a national event, Republic day function should be celebrated with fervor and enthusiasm and as such all the necessary arrangements must be put in place to make the occasion a success and urged all the core committees that the arrangements shall be made in proper and efficient manner.

The meeting was attended by CPO, Irfan Ahmad Giri, DTO, Executive Engineers of R&B and PDD besides other district and sectoral officers.
