In preparation for the upcoming 13th National Voters Day, Additional Deputy Commissioner of Reasi, Abdul Star, chaired a meeting to finalise arrangements for a series of awareness activities to be held on January 25, 2023.
During the meeting, the ADC emphasised the importance of holding programs in government departments, offices of Electoral Registration Officers/Assistant Electoral Registration Officers, as well as academic and other professional institutions in the district, to create voter awareness.
He also informed that the main district-level function will be held at the DC office complex. The ADC stated that the main objective of the National Voters Day celebration is to encourage, facilitate, and maximise enrolment, particularly for new voters.
He asked the Principals of degree colleges and government higher secondary schools to prepare students for debates and symposiums that will be held at the DC office where the main function will take place.
The Deputy District Election Officer of Reasi, Rakesh Kumar, Tehsildar Reasi, Suresh, DIO Rajinder Digra, and other district officers and officials attended the meeting.
