Principal Government Degree College, Ramban, Prof. Archana Kaul today inaugurated a seven day NSS Winter Camp organized by the NSS wing of College. As many as 30 NSS volunteers took part in the inaugural function of winter camp organised under the supervision of NSS Programme Officer of the college Prof Vickey Rattan.
Speaking on the occasion, the Principal emphasized that NSS student volunteers should participate in such camps, as it offers volunteers an opportunity to share their experiences, besides it helps them to build community connection.
“It will also open new educational opportunities as well as make the volunteers capable of addressing community needs while developing in them qualities of leadership” she added. Later, the volunteers conducted a beautification drive on the campus, building stone side walls along the interior routes of the college.
Under the guidance of Programme Officer, the volunteers would visit the adopted village of Neera in the coming days. For the college and all other stakeholders, these and numerous other activities planned for this winter camping will prove to be productive and enriching.
