A meeting of District Skill Development Committee was held today here in the Conference Hall of DC Office Complex under the Chairmanship of Additional District Development Commissioner, Udhampur Ghan Shyam Singh, to discuss the modalities for promoting skills among the unemployed youth of the district.
The ADDC asked the concerned departments dealing with skill activities to submit the action plan of their respective departments. The focus of skill development schemes should be to ensure creation of a robust skill ecosystem in the district” the ADDC stressed,
The concerned department was asked to formulate a comprehensive District Skill Plan by involving the line departments for widening the ambit of Skill Development programme to create ample opportunities of employment for the unemployed youth.
The line departments were further asked to organise training programmes to train youth for their respective areas of economic activities.
