DDC Chairperson Ramban reviews implementation of District Capex Plan, 2022-23

District Development Council, Ramban on Saturday met here under the chairmanship of its Chairperson, Dr. Shamshad Shan to review progress on works identified and achievements made under District Capex Plan (DCP) 2022-23 and Area Development Fund, besides other schemes.

The chairperson took project and plan-wise review of different sectors including the Rural Development Department, PMGSY, PWD, and Jal Shakti. BDC Chairpersons, DDC Councilors, Additional District Development Commissioner, Rajinder Sharma, Additional Deputy Commissioner, Harbans Lal Sharma, Assistant Commissioner Development, Ashok Singh, Chief Planning Officer, Dr. Kasturi Lal, CMO, CEO, DFOs, Executive Engineer PWD (R&B), PMGSY, Jal Shakti and other concerned Engineers and Officers were present in the meeting.

The meeting discussed in detail the proposals under the District Capex Plan, 2022-23 including the physical status of projects under DDC, BDC, and Panchayat Area Development Funds targeted for completion in the current fiscal, and progress of works under Centrally Sponsored Schemes.

While reviewing the Action Plan prepared to complete the developmental works under Area Development Fund, the DDC Chairperson directed the officers of executing departments to expedite the pace of progress to complete construction to achieve financial targets before December 31, 2022.   

Appreciating the DFOs for their cooperation and guidance in obtaining forest clearance on the PARIVESH portal as per extant rules, the Chairperson directed officers to work in a coordinated manner with line departments and in consultation with PRIs to achieve desired results.

The ADDC also reviewed the progress made by the departments during the current fiscal and directed them to ensure 100% achievements. Informing that proportionate funding to all three tiers of PRIs have been made to cater to the development aspirations of the people through DDCs, BDCs, and Panchayats, the ADDC exhorted the officers to work in synergy to achieve development goals well in time keeping in view the working season.

Earlier, the officers also informed the meeting about targets, progress, and achievements recorded under different schemes in their respective departments during the last and current fiscal.
