Taking governance at the doorsteps of people, the District Administration Kulgam today organized Mega grievances redressal camps in three blocks of the district viz. Kund, Kulgam and D. K. Marg to take appraisal of the public issues, grievances and demands.

The programme witnessed overwhelming response from PRIs and general public who highlighted issues and grievances of their areas for early redressal. To take first hand appraisal of public grievances and demands, the Deputy Commissioner (DC) Kulgam, Dr.Bilal Mohi-Ud-Din Bhat remained available at Kulgam where he listened to grievances and issues of people for redressal.

Officers from District Administration were also present during the block diwas. People from Yaripora, Akhall, Parivan, Denow Qaimoo, Nillow, Pombay, Gujjar basti Dardgund, Yaripora and various areas participated in this grievances redressal camp.

The visiting delegations demanded segregation of power feeder to streamline power supply scenario at Denow Qaimoo, augmentation of HT power line at Nillow, construction and development of road from Devsar to Gujjar Basti Aagaro Check and transport services from Kulgam via Bugam to Anantnag.

The DC after giving patient hearing to the public addressed various issues of immediate nature on the spot. Earlier, ACD Kulgam Mohammad Imran Khan briefed about the action taken on the issue and grievances raised by people in previous block diwas.

Meanwhile, grievances redressal camps were also held at Block Kund and D. K. Marg where ADC and SDM listened to issues and grievances of people for redressal. The DC also kick-started door to door domestic waste collection under Solid Waste Management programme here in Kulgam Block.
