To discuss the issues regarding restructuring of the Narco Coordination centre (NCORD) mechanism in the district, Additional Deputy Commissioner, Udhampur Mohammad Syed Khan on Thursday chaired a meeting of the stakeholder departments here in the Mini Conference Hall DC Office Complex.
Detailed discussion was held about the action taken on directions passed in previous meetings related to incidence of drug addiction, de-addiction-rehabilitation and mental health counselling, identification of the hot spots of drug abuse and cultivation of illicit poppy, cannabis in the district, besides other areas of concern.
To inform the general public about the ill effect of drug addiction, the ADC directed the concerned departments to organize camps in schools, colleges and other public places by involving PRIs, students, locals and other stakeholders.
