A delegation of Gurjar Desh Charitable Trust (GDCT) called on Lieutenant Governor Manoj Sinha, at the Raj Bhavan here today. The members of the delegation led by Sh Arshad Ali Choudhary, Vice Chairman, GDCT, expressed their gratitude towards the Lt Governor for several schemes and initiatives implemented for the welfare and development of Gujjar and Bakerwal of Jammu and Kashmir.

The delegation acknowledged the unprecedented steps taken by the government to uplift the nomadic community of UT by providing them their due rights as enshrined in the constitution. During the interaction, the members also raised several issues concerning the community.

The Lt Governor gave a patient hearing to the visiting delegation and assured the redressal of their all genuine issues and problems.
