District police has arrested Bharat Bhushan Pammi, an accomplice of gangster Pavitar Singh, who indulged in illegal business of arms and drugs, with 4 pistols and 34 live cartridges.Giving information in press conference, SSP Mr. Vivek S Soni said that under the instructions issued by the Chief Minister, Punjab Mr. Bhagwant Singh Mann, a campaign is being conducted against the anti-social elements. Police teams has been kept close tab on every activity of all accused who have criminal background.

SSP said that an operation is being conducted under the supervision of SP Manvinderbir Singh and DSP Talwinder Singh under which I/C CIA Ropar Inspector Satnam Singh  along with his team has arrested a person namely Bharat Bhushan Pammi R/o Ward No. 6 Mandi Ahmedgarh, District Malerkotla. 

Bharat Bhushan is an accomplice of fugitive gangster Pavitar Singh resident of Village Chauda District Gurdaspur, now resident of California (USA).The SSP said that 3 pistols of .32 bore, 1 imported pistol (Colt Government 1911 A1, cal 9 mm P.A.K) and 34 live cartridges were recovered from the accused Bharat Bhushan Pammi.  

The accused has been arrested and a case number 229 dated 02.12 2022 U/s 25-54-59 Arms Act has been registered at Police Station City Rupnagar.He said further said that 2 cases unde NDPS Act have already registered against him Ahmedgarh and Ludhiana after which Bharat Bhushan Pammi started supplying arms with drug trafficking.

Vivek S Soni said that police remand will be obtained by presenting him in the court, from which many more important revelations are expected to come. Investigation of the case is going on.
