Vikas Kundal, Deputy Commissioner Rajouri, has addressed long-pending demand of the people of Rajouri's Nowshera subdivision by providing a new ultrasound machine for Sub District Hospital Nowshera.

It is worth noting that the already installed machine in SDH Nowshera was snagged, causing hardships to the general public, and a number of delegations from the area had met with Deputy Commissioner Rajouri, demanding the installation of a new machine.

On Wednesday, the people's demand was met when SDH Nowshera received a new machine. The other health care facilities provided to the patients were also inspected by Deputy Commissioner Rajouri Vikas Kundal, Additional Deputy Commissioner Nowshera Kirtar Chand, Chief Medical Officer Rajouri Dr. Abdul Hamid Zargar, and other officers.

According to Deputy Commissioner Rajouri Vikas Kundal, the Jammu and Kashmir government is doing everything possible to improve hospital infrastructure, and a new ultrasound machine has been installed as part of this initiative.

He stated that the people of Nowshera subdivision, including those from villages along the line of control, will now have access to an ultrasound machine in their own sub district hospital, which is a huge relief for patients who have to travel to Sundebani or Rajouri for the procedure.

Civil society members, lauded the district administration's intervention, stating that previously, people faced hardships and had to obtain ultrasounds from other hospitals in and out of the district or from private institutions.

They stated that people, particularly those from LoC villages such as Sair, Makri, and Namb Kadali, will now have access to ultrasound machines at the Nowshera sub-district hospital, which will be a huge relief for them.
