Commissioner Secretary, Rural Development Department (RDD), Mandeep Kaur, inspected departmental works in panchayat KC Upper of block Nagrota here today.Commissioner Secretary visited ward number one of the panchayat to review progress on works being executed under Society for Prevention of Cruelty to Animals (SPCA) project besides assessing other allied works of the department.
Commissioner Secretary called for expeditious completion of the project. She also instructed the respective officers to ramp up pace of progress on CAPEX and MGNREGA works. She asked the officers to complete the works well before the closing of financial year.
Mandeep Kaur stressed upon the officers for setting up of Rural Haats in the blocks besides raising awareness on the same. She asked them for encouraging the villagers to participate in the successful launch of village market places.
Sarpanch of the panchayat, Kirpal Singh, along with PRI members gave inputs and feedback to the Commissioner Secretary regarding the departmental works.Rumpy Madan from NGO save also shared her expertise in the field of animal welfare.
Those present during the field visit included, Director RDD Jammu, Mohammad Mumtaz Ali; Superintendent Engineer, REW; Assistant Commissioner Development Jammu, Preeti Sharma; Block Development Officer Nagrota, Shalini Raina and other officers.
