District Development Council Chairperson Udhampur, Lal Chand, today kick-started the work of WSS Kalta in village Moungarli Panchayat Kambal Danga in presence of Chairperson Block Development Council Udhampur Balwan Singh, Superintendent Engineer (Hydraulic), R.K Mahajan, Executive Engineer, Sarpanch Panchayat Halqa Kambal Danga Shashi Paul, PRI Members, other Officers of Jal Shakti Department and locals of the area.
The WSS Kalta project will be executed at a cost of Rs. 814 Lacs. The said project is a Lift Water Supply Scheme and will cover every household of the area.Once completed, every household in the vicinity will get clean tap water and the problem of the dearth of potable water will be overcome in the Panchayat.
Chairperson District Development Council Udhampur congratulated the PRI Members and public of the area. He appreciated the efforts of PRI Members in the developmental activities being carried out in the Panchayats.
He acknowledged the Jal Shakti Department officers' efforts and urged them to see to it that all approved projects were started and finished as per the schedule to make it easier to provide tap water to every home and habitation.
Speaking on the occasion, Block the pace of development in Block Udhampur would continue the same pace.Meanwhile, On the sideline of the tour, the Chairperson District Development Council Udhampur also listened to the public grievances of Panchayat Kambal Danga and assured them timely redressal of the same.
Among others, Chairperson Block Development Council Udhampur Balwan Singh, Sarpanch Panchayat Halqa Kambal Danga, Shashi Paul, Panches of the area, officers and officials of Jal Shakti department were also present.
