District Institute of Education and Trainings (DIET), Kishtwar organized two day workshop for Heads of institutions (Hol)s of the District on Kids Personal Safety Education, Bringing safety to schools: Preventing students from online abuse, Shikshak Parv-2020, Inclusive and Special Education under NEP-2020. The workshop was inaugurated by Ashok Kumar, Principal DIET Kishtwar.

About 270 Hols including DIET faculty members participated in the workshop and were sensitised about the Cyber Security; awareness and Kids Personal Safety Education, Bringing safety to schools: Preventing students from online abuse, Shikshak Parv-2020, Inclusive and Special Education.

The Principal gave tips to the participants about the smooth functioning of the institutions, role and responsibilities of Hols and implementation of NEP 2020 as per the directions of the authorities. Most of the Principals of different higher secondary schools including Principal Higher Secondary School Girls, Principal HSS Trigam, Principal HSS Filler, HODS of DIET Kishtwar and all Headmaster of HSS/MS of district Kishtwar attended the two day  training programme.

A special online lecture was also arranged and delivered by SSP Secretariat Cyber cell, Mohammad Yaseen Kichloo on Cyber security awareness and to generate cyber hygiene and cybercrime awareness among the officers and officials of the education department

During the interactive session, SSP Security deliberated   on cyber crime issues and gave detailed updates on different emerging trends on cybercrime which include identity theft, vising, phishing, spoofing, ransomware attacks, sextortion, WhatsApp and Facebook cloning with the participants.

 Senior Lecturer DIET Kishtwar, Riaz Ahmed Butt also spoke   on Kids Personal Safety Education, Bringing safety to schools: Preventing students from online abuse. The other prominent Resource persons of DIET Kishtwar were Riaz Ahmed Giri, Sr. Lecturer, Farooq Ahmed Giri, Sr. lecturer and Humaira Ayub Sr. Lecturer.

The Hols were assured of full coordination for implementing   the interventions in the schools under NEP-2020 for the bright future of the students. Principal DIET Kishtwar Ashok Kumar encouraged the HOIS to implement the same in their respective schools.
