Juhi Manhas Pathania, Vice Chairperson DDC Udhampur, in presence of BDC Chairperson, Block Majalta Capt. Dina Nath and Sarpanch, Hans Raj, inaugurated and formally kick started work on PWD road from Plaiter Bhandral Mohalla to SC Mohalla Thill at Panchayat Jansal in Tehsil Majalta, amongst a thunderous applause, renting of slogans and boosters of appreciation from the locals of the area.
She received a thumping welcome by the locals. The road shall be constructed at an estimated cost of Rs 20.58 lakh. The said road of about 1 KM would provide connectivity to about 500 people of the area.
Addressing people, she called for qualitative development and time bound completion of projects. She stressed on early completion of developmental projects and directed officers to ensure prompt delivery of services to the public and ensure timely work completion for the general public.
She underlined the role of Panches/Sarpanches in ensuring a proactive and participative administration, and sought their cooperation in dealing with vital issues of public importance. She assured them all support to ensure implementation of developmental projects in their areas.
While responding to public demands, she called for immediate restoration of Dhar road to Plater road near Plater bridge by PMGSY authorities. The said road has recently been thrown open to the public but non - doing of essential works near the bridge by the contractor agency have made the road track risky and unfit for public transport.
She further called for voltage improvements in Ward No 4/7 by setting up separate stations. She also asked for a protection wall near MS Plater and created a playground for children. She also asked for connectivity between the last km of Dhar road to Plater and Majalta - Jansal road.
Dina Nath also spoke in detail about various developmental initiatives of the government. He further said that people should take the benefit of public policies and programmes.She was accompanied by local Sarpanches, Panches and PRIs of the area.
