Udhampur admin asks telecom companies to extend mobile services to uncovered areas

The District Administration Udhampur today directed the telecom companies to take measures to improve mobile connectivity in the district and extend the services to the uncovered areas.

Speaking at a meeting attended by representatives of service provider companies, Additional Deputy Commissioner, Mohammad Syed Khan sought immediate steps to address the problem of poor connectivity in rural areas and extension of services to uncovered villages.

“Complaints about poor network are pouring in from different areas of the district, while many areas are still uncovered” he said. He asked the representatives of the telecom companies to improve the connectivity in the rural areas of the district to mitigate the sufferings of the public on priority basis. He asked the representatives to upgrade their system as per the needs of the public.
