Under the banner of Jan Abhiyan, the Department of Youth Services and Sports, Bandipora conducted various sports  activities in different panchayats of the district.Sports events in the discipline of  Kabaddi, Volleyball, Tug of War, kho kho, Martial Arts and Basketball were organized by the department for the students of different age groups. 

469 players including girls  participated in various sports activities  across the district. The department is going to organize such events in all the institutions for the physical and mental well being of the students, said District Youth Services and Sports Officer Bandipora.
