Senior officers from the District Administration today visited several parts of the district to take stock of the activities being undertaken by various departments in the district as part of Jan Abhiyan.ADDC Anantnag Bashir Ahmad Wani visited Khoveripora block and took stock of the achievement of targets regarding various deliverables assigned to departments as part of Jan Abhiyan.
He also visited the CSC established by JK Bank and took stock of its functioning.Teams headed by ADC Anantnag Gulzar Ahmad, SDM Dooru Gh Rasool Wani, SDM Kokernag Sarib Sehran and SDM Bijbehara Tanveer Ahmad Tanveer visited Shangus, Vessu, Breng and Bijbehara blocks respectively.
The teams visited the CSC centres setup in these blocks and inspected the functioning of these centres. They also interacted with the public and gave a patient hearing to the feedback.It is in place to mention that as a prelude to Back To Village 4 program, a Jan Abhiyan has been started with various deliverables focused on time bound delivery of services to public as well as to ensure saturation of beneficiaries under various welfare schemes is underway in the district.
On the sidelines, a review meeting was chaired by SDM Kokernag at SDM Office here with participation of officials from various line departments. The officials were directed to ensure that deliverables assigned to their departments are taken up within the stipulated timeline.
Key points of discussion during the meeting were awareness to public regarding the self employment schemes, digital initiative, saturation of golden cards, issuance of land pass books, involvement of Youth Clubs in B2V4 and other activities, village haat, play fields in all panchayats, conducting of tournaments, plantation drives, social audit of public distribution system, swatchta village, tricycle facility to every specially abled person, conducting of cultural programme, Gandhi katha, public feed back etc.
The meeting was attended by Tehsildar Kokernag and Larnoo, BDOs Sagam and Breng and representatives from line departments.
