Day long awareness cum training programmes were organized by the Department of Cooperatives at Bandipora, Sumbal and Hajin under the Jan Abhiyaan initiative of Jammu and Kashmir Government.The training programme at Laharwalpora Bandipora was presided by Deputy Registrar Cooperatives Mohammad Younis Mir.
At Sumbal and Hajin, the training programmes were presided by respective Assistant Registrars of the department. Dy Registrar Cooperatives while speaking on the occasion said that the department has been entrusted with training members of Cooperative Societies.
In that context, training about basics of Cooperative movement, bye laws of Societies, roles and responsibilities of different authorities as set in laws and rules and awareness of various schemes of the department is being given during the Abhiyan, he said.
He said, as many as 140 beneficiaries attended the training programme at Laharwalpora and participation certificates were distributed among the beneficiaries.Similarly, at Hajin and Sumbal, around 40 and 30 members were imparted training by the department trainers.
Cooperative is a platform to generate livelihood and subsistence for the unemployed youth and the department will extend every possible support to its beneficiaries. Youth need only approach for the guidance and support, said Mohd Younis Mir.
It was intimated hat the department is all set to impart training to 1200 beneficiaries in district Bandipora during the current financial year. He said that such programmes will be conducted in all blocks of the district.
