To get first hand appraisal of public grievances and issues concerning people, DDC Chairperson Udhampur, Lal Chand and Deputy Commissioner, Krittika Jyotsna today conducted public grievance redressal camp at Town Hall Ramnagar.

BDC, Chairman, Des Raj; MC, President, Banti Devi; DDC- I  Mool Raj;  DDC -11 Jattu Ram;  ADDC, Anu Behl;    SDM, Gopal Singh besides Sarpanches, Panches and local people of adjoining panchayats raised many demands and issues on the occasion. 

They demanded up-gradation of GHS Kaghote and Sunetar to Higher Secondary level, construction of  playground at Kaghote, establishment of  Veterinary Hospital at Kirmoo, meeting paucity of drinking water in different Panchayats, filling of vacant posts of Doctors and other paramedical staff in SDH, Ramnagar, meeting shortage of teaching staff in the schools, replacement of  wooden electric poles, Provision of basic facility like water, electricity and road to two cremation grounds in Ramnagar, repair of hand pumps in Ramnagar town, replacement of damaged water pipes in Satyan etc.

Responding to the demands, the Chairperson DDC and DC assured the public that all their issues would be addressed in a time bound manner. The Officers were directed to work in coordination so that equitable development of all Panchayats is ensured in the district. 

The Chairperson DDC and DC said that the main objective of conducting Block Diwas was to resolve day to day public issues and the implementation of centrally sponsored schemes on the ground. They asked PRIs to work efficiently for implementation of these welfare schemes on the ground and all schemes are implemented effectively on the ground.

The SDM was directed to organise monthly meetings with all officers and PRIs members for immediate redressal of grievances of the public on priority basis. Later, the DDC Chairperson and DC also planted trees in the premises of Town Hall.
