Director General FW, MCH & Immunization J&K and Director Health Services Jammu Dr. Saleem ur Rehman, accompanied by Block Medical Officer Marwah Dr. Krishan Singh Katoch, visited various health institutions of district Kishtwar to assess their current status and functioning keeping in view the upcoming winter season when the area gets cut off. 

He visited CHC Marwah, NTPHC Inshan, NTPHC Qaderna, PHC Afti, HWC Yourdoo, HWC Chanjer, HWC Basmina, SC Warwan and SC Hiynar, which remain snow bound and inaccessible for around 7 months in a year. 

He took a round of all sections of these institutions. At CHC Marwah, he visited old and new buildings of the hospital and reviewed the status of these buildings.He interacted with doctors, paramedical staff in these health facilities and directed the staff to create a better working environment in the hospital. 

The staff put forward their requirements to which DHS gave assurance to fulfill in a short span of time.The DGHS also interacted with PRI members and public of the area at CHC Marwah who projected their issues and demands. 

He promised them to fulfill the same at the earliest and assured them to provide all required equipment and new beds at CHC Marwah. He also assured that the staff of these health institutions shall be trained at Govt. Hospital Gandhi Nagar Jammu and Govt. Hospital Sarwal for conducting normal deliveries and to tackle emergencies.

The DGHS assured the public representatives that he shall highlight the demands beyond his competence with Secretary Health J&K Govt. for early redressal.
