Deputy Commissioner Reasi, Babila Rakhwal, today released an amount of Rs13,33,442 under Workmen Compensation Act in favour of the dependents of the deceased Driver Bhagat Ram son of Amar Nath  of Village Sarot Kot, Tehsil Bhomag District Reasi. He worked as Driver with a contractor.

The Deputy Commissioner also appealed to all the employers to provide timely salaries and compensation to the workers or employees and make sure to secure group insurance for the employees.

Earlier, in the month of September 2022 ALC Reasi has disposed of 4 cases, including 2 of Workmen compensation Act, 1 each of Payment of Wages act and Payment of Gratuity Act. An accumulative amount of Rs. 2282080 as awards/orders were released in favour of Petitioners.
