An anti-Drug Marathon was today organised by Chief Education Officer, Reasi Under J&K Nasha Mukt Abhiyan which was led by Counselling Cell Team Reasi.About 400 students from Govt. Boys HSS Reasi, Govt Girls HSS Reasi, GHS Kambal Danga Reasi, GHS Ghair Mari and GHS Gran participated in the marathon.

The marathon was flagged off by the Chief Education Officer from Govt. Boys HSS Reasi and it passed  through Gran More Road, SSP office road, Nai Basti Road and   culminated back at the starting point. The Students who bagged First, Second and Third Positions in Boys and Girls Categories were awarded with Trophies and Certificates by Chief Education Officer Reasi.

In boys category, Mohammad Bahid of GBHSS class 12th bagged first position, while  Dev Singh of 10th GHS Gair Mari and  Asif of class 9th of GHS Kambal Danga ended up as first and second runners up, respectively.

Among Girls, Rubia Begum of class 11th GGHSS Reasi emerged as winner, while  Khatoon Bibi of class 10th GHS Gran and  Farzula Bibi of class 8th HS Gran were first and second runners up.The Chief Education Officer advised the students to stay away from drugs, smoking and liquor and said that all these evil things destroy families as well as society.

Vote of thanks was presented by District Counsellor Vipan Kumar Sharma to all the staff, Students, Media Persons, Police personnel, Medical Department, who participated in the marathon and those who contributed to make this marathon a grand success.
