Continuing the endeavor to make the district Ramban Nasha Mukt, the District Administration today took out a Swastha Rath which was flagged off by the Deputy Commissioner, Mussarat Islam to spread awareness among the masses regarding the menace of drug abuse.
The Swashta Rath fitted with loudspeakers and banners shall spread awareness across the host spot areas of the district.Among others, Additional Deputy Commissioner, Harbans Lal Sharma; Assistant Commissioner Revenue, Giasul- Haq; Chief Medical Officer, Dr. Kamal Zadu; District Social Welfare Officer, Rahul Gupta and other district officers were also present on the occasion.
On the occasion, the Deputy Commissioner appreciated the Social Welfare and Health Department for spreading awareness about the harmful and fatal effects of the menace of drug abuse under Nasha Mukt Bharat Abhiyan.
Meanwhile, CMO, Ramban, while speaking on the occasion announced that the activities related to awareness and assisting people regarding the drug menace shall be carried out on a regular basis.Earlier, the DSWO briefed the participants about the concept behind the launch of Swastha Rath to make people aware and assist them to tackle the challenges of the drug menace.
