Amid chanting of bhajans and slogans of ‘Jai Mata Di', District Development Council, Vice Chairperson,  Juhi Manhas Pathania today flagged off the annual Yatra to Mehrada Mata shrine located at Village Matloa Block Ghordi.

Prakash Chand, Chairman BDC Chenani, Shankar Chand, President Mehrada Mata Committee and a large number of civil society members were present at the flagging off congregation.Juhi opined that the pilgrimage will be a spiritual bliss for the pilgrims. 

The holy expedition is organized annually during Navratras.Speaking on the occasion, Juhi Manhas Pathania hoped that this religious pilgrimage will culminate in a smooth and successful note. She appealed people to optimally utilize religious events to promote peace, brotherhood and communal harmony in the society.

While addressing people, she urged them to spread the message of peace, tranquility and righteousness, adding that these are hallmarks of Sanatan Dharam. She hoped that the Yatra will culminate in true spirit of togetherness with the devotees getting their spiritual thirst quenched. 

She extended holy navratra greetings to the people and prayed for peace, prosperity and well being. After this, the yatra left for the pilgrimage amid spiritual ambience to pay obeisance at the Shrine of “Mata Mehrada”.

Others present at the flag-off ceremony included  Sudesh Kumar,  Om Parkash and other members of Mehrada Mata Charri Committee. Local PRIs of Panchayat Matloa were also present along with the devotees to seek the blessings of Mata Maharada.
