The government is fully committed to child welfare and protection and several initiatives are being taken in this regard, said Union Minister for Women and Child Development and Minority Affairs Smt. Smriti Irani, here today.During the interactive session at a National Summit ‘Path Breakers 2.0 – The Next Big Challenge’ organised by Confederation of Indian Industry (CII), Smt. Irani said that online abuse of children in the digital age is an area of concern and the government has put in place stringent measures in this regard. The Minister said the representation of women in politics and administration is growing every day and it is essential for the healthy democracy.
