District Development Commissioner Rajouri, Vikas Kundal today chaired a meeting of the concerned officers to review the livelihood generation activities being carried out in the district under NLM.A threadbare discussion on the future action plan for the SHG formation, SHG Bank linkages, financial Inclusion, livelihood activities was held in the meeting.
At the outset, the concerned officer from NRLM informed that as many as 16000 active members are associated with SHGs in the district. He further informed that there are 279 Village organisations and two cluster level federations.It was informed that Rs 3.26 crore has been disbursed as Revolving Fund while Rs 6.20 crore has been disbursed as Community Investment Fund.
The DDC also inquired about the number of SHGs linked with the Bank wherein the concerned officer apprised that 1495 SHGs have been linked with banks.The concerned officer also briefed the meeting that two more blocks of the district have been selected under NLM. The DDC asked to constitute SHG at SAGY village Patrara also.
Taking stock of the status of Rural Haat, the DDC asked them to keep new products and take innovative measures to enhance the sale.The DDC stressed upon the officers to ensure that the SHGs make collaborative efforts to diversify the livelihood activities and improve income.He also directed the officers to assist the SHGs in channelizing their efforts in carving out successful businesses.
