To mobilize public opinion for total eradication of drug abuse from the society, District Administration Ramban has intensified awareness activities under Nasha Mukt Abhiyaan across the district. The Education, Health, and other departments organized a series of awareness and informative events in their institutions under the guidance of the Deputy Commissioner, Mussarat Islam.  

The aim of the program was to strengthen action and cooperation in achieving the goal of a sustainable world free of substance abuse. The pledge was administered in all schools, colleges, Panchayats Ghars, and other government offices across the district.

 After administering the oath to staff and students, the Chief Education Officer, Ramban, Dev Anand asked the students how the drugs affect the whole body functioning of an individual and make them totally dependent on it. He also appealed to society, particularly the parents, to take extra care of the home environment so that the children are not pushed towards the evil of drug addiction.

Meanwhile, a series of rallies were also taken out in the district which witnessed the participation of officers, officials, members of Civil society, social workers, PRIs, and students. The participants vowed to stay away from drugs and put in sincere efforts to make India a drug-free country.Student representatives also participated and generated awareness by displaying posters and placards on anti-drug abuse themes.
