Nasha Mukt J&K Abhiyan : Theme based Essay, Painting competitions held across educational institutions in Kupwara

On the directions of Deputy Commissioner Kupwara, Doifode Sagar Dattatray, various activities including theme based essay and painting competitions were held in different educational institutions across the district to observe 3rd Day of ‘Nasha Mukt J&K Abiyan’.

Essay and Painting competitions on the theme ‘Nasha Mukt J&K’ were held in various schools including Higher Secondary Schools of Handwara, Kupwara, Zachaldara, Tarathpora etc.On the occasion, Pledge ceremonies were held in various Colleges to uphold the promise for eradication of the drug menace in the society and encouraging a healthy lifestyle.

At GDC Sogam and GDC Kupwara, anti drug pledge ceremonies were held in which Principals, faculty members and a large number of students took part while GDC Kralpora conducted an essay competition on the theme of ‘Harmful effects of drugs’.

At GDC Langate, an awareness rally was taken out by a large number of students against drug abuse and illicit trafficking. The rally started from the College and passed through the market and finally culminated at Tehsil Office Langate. 

The students carried placards with messages about the disastrous effects of drugs on individuals and society.In Kupwara, the Health department pasted pamphlets on various drug stores in Kupwara town which were depicting the myths and facts about the psychotropic drugs.
