The Department of Youth Services and Sports Budgam conducted selection trials in the discipline of cricket for boys in the Age group above 19- 35 years under the banner of LG's Rolling trophy 2022 at different zones/blocks at different venues of the district.

At Zone Narbal and Hardpanzu, the trials were declared open by Gurmukh Singh Dutta, District Youth Services and Sports Officer (DYS&SO).During his speech, the DYSSO Budgam encouraged the participants and officials for their active participation.

The LG Rolling Trophy is being conducted by the Department of Youth Services and Sports J&K for the first time in the history of the sports department.After these trials, the Inter Zone/Block/UT Level competitions will be conducted under Talent Hunt programme.

In district Budgam at different venues an impressive number of participants/players have participated.Mission Youth, J&K has initiated a process for inviting players to competitions under Lt Governor’s Rolling Trophy in Cricket Boys of 19-35 Yrs age group.

The competitions will be organised at block level, district, provincial and UT level in leagues spread over a period of three months. The biggest talent hunt programme includes sports events, personality development, sports equipment and a host of other events.

Gurmukh Singh and Incharge Activity Section DYSSO Budgam has directed all the zones to complete selection Trials as soon as possible so that the competitions of next stage will be conducted.
