Punjab Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann on Thursday urged people of Himachal Pradesh to support AAP for getting access to quality health services. Addressing the gathering while promising second guarantee of health to the people of Himachal Pradesh here today.

The Chief Minister, accompanied by Delhi Deputy Chief Minister  Manish Sisodia, said that Himachal has lagged behind in health sector in last 75 years. Citing an example, he said that serious patients from Una and other parts of Himachal still don’t have adequate health facilities and have to travel till Chandigarh in case of serious ailment.

Bhagwant Mann said that this need to be changed for which AAP should be voted to people. The Chief Minister said that Mohalla clinics in Delhi and Aam Aadmi clinics in Punjab are providing world class health care services to people.

He said that people are being offered 41 packages with around 100 clinical tests free of cost in these Aam Aadmi Clinics. Bhagwant Mann said that 90% of patients are treated from these clinics only thereby reducing the burden in hospitals.

The Chief Minister said that state government has opened 100 such clinics  across the state which have received huge  response from general public. Bhagwant Mann further said that only the serious patients with major ailments are further referred to the big hospitals.

He said that this is a revolutionary step which will be replicated in Himachal too after formation of AAP government. The Chief Minister said that both Congress and BJP have looted people and used their money for vested interests.

He said that these people who had came into power after ousting British imperialists have surpassed their record of plundering country’s wealth. Bhagwant Mann said that this open loot has to be stopped for which support of people is necessary adding that the money hence saved will be utilised for welfare of people.

Slamming Prime Minister Narendra Modi for criticising AAP for using people’s money on their welfare, the Chief Minister said that Modi’s friends had looted public money from banks and fled abroad.

Bhagwant Mann said that both Congress and BJP have looted people and used their money for vested interests. He also assailed Modi for his failure to control ever escalating inflation. The Chief Minister laid thrust that a healthy person can work for well being of country.

He lamented that country has lagged behind in health sector. Bhagwant Mann said that in dearth of good medical colleges students aspiring to make career in medical field have to go to countries like Ukraine.

The Chief Minister said that it is ironical that the countries which had attained independence just 25 years ago are far ahead than us who had attained independence 75 years ago. He said that in foreign countries our intelligent students are proving their mettle but they don’t get work according to their calibre here.

Bhagwant Mann said that freedom fighters like Shaheed Bhagat Singh had laid their lives for emancipating countries from clutches of foreign imperialism but now our youth in dearth of good opportunities back home are forced to go aboard and work under foreigners.

The Chief Minister bemoaned that the Chief Minister said that on contrary the BJP and Congress didn’t care to develop medical infrastructure and handed over people to private players in health sector. He said that same was the case of education sector as no attention was paid to it.

Bhagwant Mann said that has accorded top priority to both these sectors.Striking an emotional chord with people, the Chief Minister said that Una was not a new place for him as he had came here earlier numerous times.

He said that the culture and language both Punjab and Himachal have many similarities. Bhagwant Mann said that people of Himachal should also support AAP for transforming their lives. The Chief Minister said that AAP under leadership of Arvind Kejriwal gives opportunities to volunteers of underprivileged and weaker sections.

He said that this party has been born out of anti-corruption movement. Bhagwant Mann said that people come on other own in functions of AAP whereas other parties hire people to rally.
