Today in Chennai, the much-anticipated Rajinikanth 169th movie will begin production. The movie, which is being directed by Nelson Dilipkumar and is being made by Sun Pictures, was given the name Jailer in June. Sun Pictures, taking to Twitter on Monday, released a poster of Jailer, featuring Superstar Rajinikanth, and captioned the post, "#Jailer begins his action Today!"’
Rajinikanth is seen in an intense look, donning grey hair and beard, glasses, a crisp grey-coloured shirt, and beige pants. Here's the announcement poster by Sun Pictures :
The sandalwood star Shiva Rajkumar will also be seen playing a crucial role in the film, in addition to Rajnikanth and Ramya Krishnan. He is said to be the movie's antagonist. According to rumours, Aishwarya Rai Bachchan will play one of the movie's leading females. The whole cast and crew have not yet been revealed.

Meanwhile, speaking more about the film, it is scheduled to hit the big screens in the year 2023. However, there is no official confirmation on the film’s release date so far. Moreover, the music for the film will be provided by Anirudh Ravichander.
