Government schools in Punjab are better than Delhi model and the infrastructure of these schools is also commendable said Member of Parliament from Sri Anandpur Sahib Constituency Manish Tewari after inaugurating the development works conducted under the MPLAD Fund at Government Senior Secondary Smart School in Mianpur of Rupnagar district.

Addressing the students on this occasion, he said that the time of schooling is very valuable in the life of the students. He said that the way our country is progressing, students will also get a great opportunity to contribute to the progress of the country after graduation.

Manish Tewari said that girls have gained a special place in the field of education; it has been a revolution for Punjab and the country. This is a big achievement and a welcome step in our society. Earlier, school Principal Nisha Samnotra in her welcome speech thanked MP Manish Tewari for the funds given to the school for development work.

She said that the face of the school has changed with the development works done through these funds. On this occasion Pawan Dewan former Chairman Punjab Large Industrial Development Board, Amarpal Singh Bains, School Committee Chairman Gurcharan Singh, Youth Congress leader Surinder Singh Haripur, Yashwant Bassi Lecturer, former Sarpanch Seema Rani, former Panch Sarabjit Kaur, Mandeep Kumar, Surinder Singh, Sewa Singh Bawani, Surjit Singh Panjoli, elders of the area, village panchayat members and school staff members were also present.
