The Vice-Chairperson District Development Council, Bilal Ahmad today chaired a meeting of line departments to review the progress of development works in the district.The meeting was attended by ADDC Ganderbal, Khurshid Ahmad Shah; CPO, Irfan Giri; ACP, Bilqees Jan, executive engineers of various departments besides other officers of line departments.

BDC Chairpersons of block Ganderbal and Wakura were also present on the occasion.During the meeting, a threadbare discussion was held regarding the status of works being executed in the district by line departments.

The Vice-Chairman stressed upon the concerned officers to expedite the execution of ongoing development works especially under Rural Development.He also stressed upon the officers for proper maintenance of coordination between departments and the PRI members so that better results could be yielded on the ground with respect to developmental works and infrastructure creation.

The ADDC while speaking on the occasion urged for proper utilization of funds for the overall development of the district. He also directed the ACP to start surveys through BDOs about available assets in each panchayat which can generate revenue for the panchayats so that same could be utilized for people's welfare.
