Taking strong notice of the media reports that revealed a scheduled caste woman was set on fire in Raisar village in Jaipur, the National Commission for Scheduled Castes (NCSC) Chairman Vijay Sampla visited the spot and met the victim's family.

Victim’s husband Tara Chand informed Sampla about the entire incident and the people, who are responsible for her death. Tara Chanda, and his elder brother Suresh, also detailed to Sampla about the ongoing investigation by police and the district administration.

After meeting with the grieving family, Sampla assured the speedy and fair investigation in the matter and arrest of the accused. “NCSC will ensure that all the accused”, he said.The Divisional commissioner of Jaipur, Vikas Bhale; IGP Jaipur range, Umesh Chand Dutta; and Superintendent of Police (Jaipur Rural), Manish Aggarwal, and other officials were also present on the spot, who informed Sampla about the ongoing investigation and the actions been taken so far.

Sampla also said that he will take strict action if there is any delay in the inquiry and arrest of the accused.Subsequently, Sampla held a meeting with the senior government officials at Circuit House Jaipur and inquired about the investigation. He also checked the investigation reports and gave necessary orders.
