Pv Sindhu Commonwealth Games 2022: Olympic medalist PV Sindhu won the Commonwealth Games badminton women's singles gold medal by defeating Canada's Michelle Lee in straight games in the final on Monday.The match was won by world number seven Sindhu as she avenged her loss in the semi-finals of the 2014 Glasgow Commonwealth Games by defeating world number 13 Michelle 21-15, 21-13. Sindhu won the bronze medal in 2014, while Michelle was successful in winning the gold medal. This is Sindhu's ninth win in 11 matches against Mitchell. 

This is not the first time Sindhu has made India proud. Even before this, Sindhu had won many medals for India. This is Sindhu's third individual medal in the Commonwealth Games. She also won a silver medal at the 2018 Gold Coast Games.

Sindhu and Michelle Li were about to see the match. Both were giving good competition to each other. The struggle for victory and the hunger for victory were clearly visible in both of their eyes. From the beginning to the end of the game, Mitchell made very simple mistakes, for which he had to bear the brunt. On the other hand, Sindhu has immense experience, which came in handy for her, and taking advantage of her experience, she won the first game. Let us tell you that this is India's fourth medal in the badminton competition of the Birmingham Games.

Talking about the final match, PV Sindhu, who won the women's singles gold medal by defeating Michelle Lee of Canada in the final, now has five Commonwealth Games medals. In women's singles, she won the silver medal in the 2018 Gold Coast and the bronze medal in the year 2014. Along with the mixed team, she has also won gold and silver.  At the Birmingham Commonwealth Games, PV Sindhu won the gold while maintaining her spirit and courage.
