Awareness programme on Agnipath Scheme held at Baramulla

The District Zilla Sainik Welfare Office Baramulla in collaboration with District Administration today organized a daylong awareness programme with regard to the newly launched Army Recruitment Scheme "Agnipath" at Dak Bunglow, here.

The programme was organised with an aim to educate the young students about various dimensions related to the recruitment of Agniveers under the scheme. About 150 students, ex-servicemen and parents participated in the awareness program.

Brig. Girdarilal, Assistant Commissioner Revenue Baramulla Peerzada Mumtaz Ahmad, Colonel G Suresh among other senior officers attended the programme.On the occasion, the participants were educated about the eligibility criteria more specifically about the scheme and pattern of written examination, physical test and other salient features of Agnipath scheme. 

They were also familarized about the benefits and prospects that can reach to them after joining as Agniveers under the scheme.At the conclusion, a question and answer session was held during which the participants asked questions and got them answered from the experts present in the programme.
