In a bid to improve online service delivery mechanism and increase internet accessibility among citizens to bring all front-end government services online, a grand function was organized at Indoor Sports Stadium, here.

On the occasion, the Deputy Commissioner (DC) Baramulla, Dr Syed Sehrish Asgar flagged-off PAS mounted vehicles for campaigning about various online services besides participating in other series of activities at the venue. 

Additional Deputy Commissioner Baramulla,  Zahoor Ahmad Raina,  Assistant Commissioner Revenue,  Peerzada Mumtaz Ahmad, Chief Education Officer Baramulla, G.M Lone, besides other District and sectoral officers were also present in the event. 

It is worth mentioning here that the Digital Programme has been launched with a vision to transform J&K into a digitally empowered society.During the event, the Deputy Commissioner paid inspection of various stalls installed by many departments including District Administration/Revenue Department,  Agriculture, Horticulture,  District Treasury,  Motor Vehicles Department, District Industries Centre, banks and others to impart citizens awareness about different government schemes and services being delivered through online mode so that they can avail benefits from all such public centric schemes.

On the occasion, the DC passed directions to District Heads to activate their online services and promote them by organising campaigns in coordination with District Administration for celebrations of the Digital Week.
