Chairperson District Development Council Udhampur Lal Chand today met with Brig. Raju Batra, Chief Engineer, Military Engineering Service (MES) Udhampur Zone 56 APO in his office chamber Northern Command Udhampur.
Detailed discussions were held regarding MES-maintained roads that are used by inhabitants of District Udhampur, which include Jib Morh to 10 Garh RIF Entry Gate, I KM Garhi to Gatyal Road. The road encroachment etc were discussed in detail.
The Chairman DDC underlined the need to upgrade the road by increasing its width from 4 Mtr BT to 5.5 mtr BT and to repair the damaged area of the road on urgent basis.The Chairperson DDC Udhampur was assured by the Chief Engineer Udhampur Zone that he will look into the issues and take appropriate action at the earliest.
