District Development Commissioner Rajouri, Vikas Kundal today chaired a meeting of the concerned officers to discuss the modalities for the restoration of heritage sites in the district.Officers present in the meeting included ADDC, Pawan Kumar; ADC Rajouri, Sachin Dev Singh; CPO, Mohammad Khurshid; SE PWD(R&B), JP Singh; CEO Education, Shailash Kumari; AD Tourism, Ambika Bali; AD Planning, Mohd Rafi and other concerned officers.
It was informed that the restoration of Qila Darhal Fort, Channi Prat and Mahakaleshwar temple at Lamberi have been prioritized and other heritage and architectural sites like Gurdwara Chhatipatshahi, Qila Rajouri, Saaj Mughal Sarai among others would be restored in a phased manner.
The DDC said that the restoration of the heritage and architectural sites was a priority of the government and coordinated efforts have to be taken up to restore the sites to their original positions.
He also directed the concerned officers to formulate the DPRs of the heritage and architectural sites to be restored in the district in the first phase and submit the same to the concerned authorities at the earliest.
